1. How high were the last dividend payments? The General Meeting on 10th May 2007 approved the proposal by the Management Board and the Supervisory Board, to pay a dividend of 1.19 EUR per ordinary share and 1.20 per preference share from the retained earnings. 2. When is the dividend paid? The dividend is paid as a rule on the first working day following the General Meeting. 3. What is the current proposed dividend? With the dividend the shareholders participate in the sustained profitable growth of HUGO BOSS. Against the background of a group result which has increased by 20% the Supervisory Board and Management Board will propose to the General Meeting that a dividend of 1.45 EUR per ordinary share and 1.46 Euro per preference share be paid for the financial year 2007. In addition the Supervisory Board has concerned itself at length with the proposal of the Management Board to pay a special dividend in view of the intended balance sheet structure in the future and endorses the recommendation to pay a special dividend for the financial year 2007 of 5.00 EUR per share. Based on the closing prices as at 31st December 2007 this corresponds to a dividend yield of 16.3% for the ordinary shares and 16.6% for the preference shares. 4. How will the special dividend be taxed? Half of the dividend is tax-exempt in accordance with the half-income procedure for domestic shareholders (Art. 3 no. 40 sentence 1 of the Income Tax Act) |
