HUGO BOSS launched its golf sponsorship program in 1985. The lifestyle group's association with the professional golfer Bernhard Langer proved to be the first partnership in a long line of leading and upcoming international golf stars.

The biggest success to date was scored by Henrik Stenson in 2013. The Swede, who has been sponsored by HUGO BOSS since 2004, became the very first golfer to win both the FedEx Cup and the Race to Dubai.

The South Korean Byeong Hun An became the latest addition to the company's golfing portfolio in 2015. Following victories that year at the BMW PGA Championship in Wentworth and the Shinhan Donghae Open in Seoul, the 24-year-old was the first Asian to be named "Rookie of the Year." With the two pros Byeong Hun An and Wu Ashun, HUGO BOSS is expanded its global golfing activities in Asia.

In 2015 HUGO BOSS and its testimonials claimed a total of seven tournament victories. In addition to Byeong Hun An's wins, Wu Ashun became the first Chinese player to win a European Tour event, the Volvo China Open, while the Swede Alex Noren also finished first in his home tournament, the Nordea Masters. With his phenomenal success at the Gant Open, Dominic Foos became the youngest-ever winner on the Challenge Tour at the age of 18. In September 2015 the experienced Englishman Lee Slattery won his second title on the European Tour at the Russian Open while the Brazilian Alex Rocha won the Aberto do Brasil in Rio de Janeiro. Victor Dubuisson also capped a successful season with a victory in the Turkish Open that moved him up into the world's top 30. Last but not least, Henrik Stenson maintained his good form, ending the season at an outstanding fifth position in the world rankings.
