We are interested in a wide range of different degree courses, from designers and traditional business administration majors to architects and engineers.
Generally speaking, you can do an internship in any part of the company – from our corporate development division to retail operations.
Internships are usually assigned as part of a degree program.
We advertise our internships in our job portal around three to five months before the start date – meaning around April for internships starting in August/September and October for February/March. Please don’t apply until the jobs are advertised online and list your periods of availability in your cover letter.
Once we’ve gotten to know each other and are convinced we want to work together, we’ll welcome you to the HUGO BOSS team.
Internships usually last four to six moths; six months is considered ideal. This will give you enough time to get to know the department and the company exactly and collaborate on successful projects. See the relevant job advertisement to find out how long an individual internship will last.
You can serve an internship at any HUGO BOSS location worldwide. Each location recruits their own interns. Please note that intern compensation may vary between locations.
During a mandatory internship at our Metzingen headquarters, you will receive monthly compensation of EUR 670 (without academic degree) or EUR 950 (with academic degree). If you serve a voluntary internship (for three months), you will be paid the statutory minimum wage. You’ll also receive travel expenses based on distance. If you’re serving a voluntary internship, you will have to pay social insurance contributions. They are not required for mandatory internships.

Our working students work in all areas, from IT to HR. Open positions are advertised on our job portal.
Look out for vacancies on a regular basis, and apply around three to four months before you’d like to start. Working student jobs are sometimes also posted at short notice.
If we’re convinced that we want to work together, we’ll welcome you to the HUGO BOSS team as a working student.
A working student job should last at least six months.
Jobs for working students at HUGO BOSS are paid according to the current collective wage agreement.
Various options at HUGO BOSS are open to you after your working student job. For example, you can write your bachelor’s or master’s thesis in cooperation with us, complete another exciting internship in one of our other divisions or in another country, or apply for a direct company position.
If you have any questions about working student jobs, please send an e-mail to: praktikantenbetreuung@hugoboss.com.
In general, you can write a thesis in any specialist area.
Please only apply to advertised positions for theses. You are welcome to serve an internship beforehand, to get to know HUGO BOSS better.
Normally, the subject for a thesis is defined jointly by you and the specialist area. This makes it possible to take both your interests and those of the department into account. There is no fixed pool of topics for theses.
Generally, you should factor in at least three to four months, possibly up to six months, to write a thesis.
In general, there are two options for managing your working hours:
You will receive a flat fee of EUR 1,200 euros as an allowance, which will be divided equally over the months of your agreement. When you submit your thesis, you receive a performance-based bonus. If your thesis is linked to a temporary hire student job, it is remunerated separately.
If you have any questions about thesis projects, please send an e-mail to: praktikantenbetreuung@hugoboss.com.
