HUGO BOSS has signed the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action

December - HUGO BOSS has joined the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action. In line with the climate protection goals of the Paris Agreement, the charter contains the vision for the fashion industry to achieve net zero emissions across the entire value chain by 2050. It defines targets that the signatories aim to achieve, such as decarbonization of the production phase, the selection of climate-friendly and sustainable materials, and exploring circular business models. A first concrete goal is to reduce CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030.

HUGO BOSS has been actively involved in drafting the charter from the outset and is one of the founding signatories, along with other fashion brands.

In order to make concrete progress in achieving these goals, we are working together with other fashion brands, retailers, suppliers and other stakeholders to implement the charter. Under the auspices of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), six working groups have been set up to develop measures. HUGO BOSS will continue to play an active role here.

The charter was launched on December 10, 2018 at the COP24 climate conference in Katowice, where HUGO BOSS and other signatories also participated in a panel discussion.
