RobecoSam: HUGO BOSS is Industry Mover

January 19, 2015 - HUGO BOSS has been listed as Industry Mover for the first time in the RobecoSam Sustainability Yearbook. An industry mover is a company that performs within the top 15% of its industry and demonstrates the largest improvement in its sustainability performance in comparison to the previous year.

HUGO BOSS has thus proven to be “strongly positioned to create long-term shareholder value” and is therefore a promising candidate in the area of sustainable management within the textiles sector.

RobecoSAM and the Sustainability Yearbook

RobecoSam is an investment specialist focused exclusively on sustainability investing and publishes in cooperation with S&P Dow Jones Indices the globally recognized Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI). This index is one of the most important sustainability indices and serves as a cross-industry compass for investors who are looking to invest in sustainably managed companies.

The DJSI assessment is based on financially relevant sustainability criteria and pursues a “Best in Class” approach. It takes into account significant factors from the perspective of investors, such as innovation, talent promotion and resource efficiency, due to their influence on a company’s competitiveness and on its long-term operating results.

The “Sustainability Yearbook” lists the top 15% companies of each industry that are listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) and is the internationally most comprehensive annual publication on sustainable capital investments. For the Sustainability Yearbook 2014 RobecoSam analyzed the sustainability performance of almost 2000 companies from 59 industries.
