"HUGO BOSS launches a special accessories collection on the occasion of sponsoring the exhibition “An Eames Celebration” at the Vitra Design Museum

Metzingen, July 21, 2017. From September 30, 2017, through February 27, 2018, HUGO BOSS will be supporting the comprehensive retrospective "An Eames Celebration" at the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein, Germany. The project comprises four separate exhibits dedicated to the various facets of the legendary designers' oeuvre, along with a broad array of companion events staged across the extensive Vitra campus.

Straddling numerous disciplines, Charles and Ray Eames blazed new trails with their conceptual approach, ideas and iconic designs. As such they rank among the most versatile and influential designers of the past century. The exhibition "An Eames Celebration" draws together a large selection of original works – including films, photographs, drawings, sculptures, paintings, textiles, models, stage props and graphic design. It contains previously unpublished material and provides the most all-encompassing overview of the designer duo's creativity to date.

"We are delighted to have the opportunity of supporting this wonderful project. Partnerships with cultural institutions such as the Vitra Design Museum spur creativity within our company – above all in our collections," explains Ingo Wilts, Chief Brand Officer at HUGO BOSS AG.

To mark this cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum and in conjunction with the exhibition “An Eames Celebration”, the Group has developed a limited-edition accessories collection for its BOSS brand. In addition to a tote bag (THE TOTE), the unisex collection features a portfolio bag (THE PORTFOLIO), a clutch (THE CLUTCH) and a card case (THE CARD CASE).

Starting this fall, the products will be available worldwide at selected retail and online stores. Additional information on the collection along with insights into the partnership and exhibition will also be posted at www.hugoboss.com/inspiration from September 20.

To mark the exhibition's opening and the launch of the collection, HUGO BOSS and the Vitra Design Museum will also be hosting an exclusive event in Berlin during October.
