Jason Wu presents his last Gallery Collection as Artistic Director for BOSS Womenswear

Metzingen, February 13, 2018. The Gallery Collection presentation this evening in New York will mark Jason Wu’s finale as Artistic Director of BOSS Womenswear. The fashion designer joined HUGO BOSS in June 2013, and his signature style significantly shaped its womenswear.

“The five years at HUGO BOSS have been a very exciting time for me,” Wu said. “I am especially grateful to the entire BOSS Womenswear team – for their passion, their dedication and not least for the fabulous fashion shows and events that we realized together. Now the time has come for me to concentrate fully on my own label.”

“I would like to thank Jason for his incredible creative input and inspiration,” said CBO Ingo Wilts. “I feel certain that he will approach all his future projects with the same compelling passion and zest that he brought to HUGO BOSS – and for which we are highly indebted to him.”

The last BOSS Womenswear Collection under Wu’s aegis is being shown at the New York Fashion Week. For the Gallery Collection, the public can look forward to a more focused presentation that spotlights the looks. Wu drew inspiration from the purist work of the Minimalist Robert Morris. The shape of the tailoring, a key component of the BOSS DNA, is bold this season, with a stronger shoulder that sculpts the body in a sensual way.

The debut Gallery Collection, which was presented at the Berlin Fashion Week in summer of 2017, met with enormous success.
