HUGO BOSS creates the look for the German National Team

Metzingen, May 23rd, 2016. For this year’s European Soccer Championships, HUGO BOSS will once again be taking up its role as exclusive fashion outfitter to the German national team, and accompanying the squad on its way to France.

“We are proud to be supporting the German team again in 2016. The players not only demonstrate tremendous determination and team spirit; they are also the epitome of great style,” says Gerd von Podewils, Senior Vice President Global Communication HUGO BOSS.

Germany’s national players are guaranteed to cut fine figures at appearances off the field as well - in modern looks by BOSS: they will be wearing the slim-cut, dark grey colored BOSS suit from the new ‘Create Your Look’ line at all official engagements during the European championship. The collection’s unique feature: the athletes can individually combine their preferred size and fit of trousers and jackets – regular, slim and extra-slim – to create a suit that perfectly matches their body type. A pure cotton white shirt, black tie and elegant pocket square combined with a belt, shoes and black coat complete the classic #SuitedByBOSS look.

When travelling, the team wears a comfortable casual outfit consisting of a field jacket in functional nylon, a pullover in a lightweight linen/wool blend, elegant black chinos, and coordinated belts and shoes.

HUGO BOSS also outfits the coaching staff under Joachim Löw with custom made suits by BOSS MADE TO MEASURE that feature luxurious fabrics and the finest sartorial craftsmanship.

“HUGO BOSS is the perfect partner for us as we share a desire to always give our very best in our respective areas. A great performance off the pitch requires impeccable outfits, for both official appearances and travel,” says Oliver Bierhoff.

“Together with HUGO BOSS we have already succeeded in winning one World Cup, in 2014. We hope to repeat this success in France,” says Joachim Löw.

“Playing in Style“ was also the name of the game when, radiating both fashion savoir faire and team spirit, the squad posed for the BOSS photo-shoot at Munich’s Hilton Hotel am Park.
