A database for more transparency: HUGO BOSS supports the OAR map of global apparel facilities

April 2019 - The charitable organisation Open Apparel Registry (OAR) has published a comprehensive database of textile and apparel facilities worldwide. Visualised as an interactive world map, the database can be filtered according to countries, individual factories or even brands. HUGO BOSS is one of the first companies to upload its data to the OAR and thus actively supports this project.

This interactive supplier map sees OAR summarize all textile and apparel facilities worldwide in one database that can be accessed publicly and for free. From small clothing manufacturers to international fashion brands, companies can upload and continuously update data directly and easily. A built-in algorithm prevents duplication, ensuring high data quality. This combination of supplier data in one comprehensive database and the specific filter options create greater transparency in the supply chain.

We have been publishing our active finished goods suppliers on our website since 2017 and are continuously working together with them to increase transparency in the supply chain. Learn more about our commitment to sustainability in the supply chain here.
