HUGO BOSS launches a plastic-free capsule collection

Back in 2017, HUGO BOSS signed the 2020 Circular Fashion System Commitment. Since then, with its Circular Design Strategy, the company has been committed to sustainable recycling management and thus to an extended product life cycle.

With this first plastic-free collection, circular design principles were taken into account early on during the development of the looks. The capsule consists of six cotton T-shirts produced according to the mono-material concept. This means that the styles are made exclusively from one material – in this case, cotton. While the sewing thread is also made of 100 percent cotton, the care and brand labels, which are usually made of polyester, were removed and the necessary information was printed on the inside of the T-shirt. The designs can therefore be completely recycled, and the resources can be reused by returning them to the cycle. Of course, no plastic was used for the packaging either. It is made of cornstarch and is biodegradable.

The six T-shirts from the plastic-free capsule collection are available in our online store and in BOSS stores worldwide.
