HUGO BOSS Izmir has again received a Stevie Award for its commitment to its employees, this time receiving bronze in the category "Most Valuable Employer – EMEA". Against the backdrop of the current situation, the focus of the award has been broadened and specifically recognizes the company's commitment during the COVID-19 crisis, where Izmir had distinguished itself through measures that focused on the protection and safety of the workforce. The virtual presentation of the international award will take place on November 5, 2020.
COVID-19 response categories
The Stevie Awards are globally recognized awards for companies. The awards are divided into eight award programs with different focuses. This year, special COVID-19 categories were created to honor the contributions of HR individuals, teams and entire organizations that have worked valiantly over the past months to keep employees safe, healthy and informed.
Special COVID-19 measures
HUGO BOSS Izmir has been recognized as an outstanding employer, demonstrating the great importance of responsible human resources management in the company. To protect the health of its employees during the corona pandemic, the Izmir site implemented various measures. Wherever possible, the workforce worked from home. At the same time, specific safety precautions were taken in HUGO BOSS buildings to reduce the risk of infection. These included, for example, redesigning break areas, distributing face masks and face shields and conducting COVID-19-related trainings. Additional services were also developed during this time, such as professional counseling by a psychologist on how to deal with related issues. In addition, employees were given access to business webinars, online personal development courses and fitness videos for use at home. The local community was also supported with the donation of face shields to hospitals in the region.
