June 2017 – HUGO BOSS has joined the Leather Working Group (LWG). The LWG is a multi-stakeholder group, including brands, retailers, leather manufacturers, chemical suppliers, etc. that collaborate to develop an environmental stewardship protocol for the leather manufacturing industry. The objective is to promote sustainable practices by assessing the compliance and environmental stewardship practices of leather manufacturers, in order to increase transparency and ensure continuous improvement.
For HUGO BOSS this represents an opportunity to improve the Company’s water and energy consumption, chemical use and leather traceability, as well as create positive change in cooperation with industry peers in leather manufacturing practices.
