‘New times, new rules’ – successful stakeholder dialog in times of crisis

October – In keeping with the motto "New times – new rules? Successful stakeholder dialog in times of crisis", the fifth HUGO BOSS Stakeholder Dialog took place on October 20, 2020. This year, participants from NGOs, companies and from the worlds of science and finance met virtually for the first time.

Together with our stakeholders, we discussed the challenges facing the fashion industry, particularly in light of the pandemic. In recent months, the Covid-19 pandemic and its effects on global supply chains have affected everyone involved and have led to intense discussions. That is why this year's event focused on dialog and how to conduct it successfully.

Auret van Heerden, founder of Equiception and human rights expert, was amongst those who offered insights on this topic. Many other organizational representatives, for example from Femnet e.V., Peta and Open Apparel Registry participated in lively discussions.

After three hours of intensive debates, one thing became evident: during the Covid-19 crisis, a trusting and effective dialog between different stakeholders has proved more important than ever for addressing challenges in the textile industry. In the weeks and months to come, together with our stakeholders, we will continue to work on finding the best solutions.
