Repurpose – fabrics rediscovered

With the Repurpose styles from the BOSS Fall/Winter 2021 collection, we are focusing on the responsible use of leftover fabrics.

These designs will save a total of around 300,000 meters of fabric. How did we make this happen? By bringing leftover fabrics from previous collections back to life. Since fabric production requires a lot of resources, such as the water used in cotton cultivation, our goal is to handle materials as responsibly as possible. For example, unused tailoring fabrics are now used in hoodies in the current collection’s RESPONSIBLE styles. In addition, different fabrics are combined, for example in patchworks.

To further reduce our impact on the environment, we at HUGO BOSS have set ourselves various sustainability targets for our products and materials. By 2025, at least 30 percent of our product offering will consist of RESPONSIBLE styles. Additionally, all of our cotton will be sourced from more sustainable sources from 2025 – today, that’s already true for 86 percent of our supply. The share of recycled synthetic materials will also increase from the current ten to 50 percent.

With the RESPONSIBLE styles of the Fall/Winter 2021 collection, we are taking another step towards a more sustainable future. You can find the designs in our online store.
