August 2019 – HUGO BOSS continues its cooperation with Ananas Anam and launches another BOSS shoe collection made of Piñatex®, including women's shoes for the first time.
Piñatex® is an innovative natural material made out of pineapple leaf fibers. The leaves of the pineapple fruit accumulate during the harvest, but cannot be further used and otherwise become waste. This means that no additional resources are needed to extract the Piñatex® material and the farmers have an additional source of income.
The shoe is available in various colors, all of which are dyed with natural dyes. In the new silver model, a foil is applied by heat. In combination with a recycled TPU sole and shoelaces made of organic cotton, the shoe is 100% vegan. They are packed in a recyclable and biodegradable shoe box. The collection is available in selected BOSS stores and in our online store.
